About This Cause

Our PowerPlay Young Entrepreneurs (PYE) program is Canada’s largest teacher-facilitated entrepreneurial education program, having already reached over , elementary and middle school students. PYE’s turnkey resources and direct connections to curriculum make it easy for teachers to integrate the program into their classrooms.

With PYE, grades students have fun planning and implementing their own business ventures.

They develop products, business plans and marketing materials, earn real money and learn about social responsibility by donating a portion of their profits to charity. PYE students are challenged to take charge of their learning and create their own pathways to success. They take initiative, build confidence and develop new skills in order to achieve their goals.

This active learning process not only prepares them for their future careers, it also helps them be more successful in school today. An added benefit of PowerPlay Young Entrepreneurs is that students develop important financial literacy skills as they move through the business planning steps.

Mission Statement Young Entrepreneurs of Canada Association is a BC-based charity with a mandate to empower young Canadians of all abilities and backgrounds with an entrepreneurial mindset. For almost 20 years, Bill has supported Canadian schools and districts in creating real-world learning experiences for students.

This leads to exceptionally high levels of student engagement, including youth that are not typically successful in school. The PowerPlay learning model is also proven to assist students in developing strong foundational skills in English Language Arts (oral and written communication) and numeracy, helping build a foundation that prepares them for secondary and postsecondary education.
